The automotive industry is always constantly evolving creating the best cars and always re-encoding the concept of speed. At the time, big brands like McLaren, Bugatti or Porsche made themselves known and pioneered the market by creating some of the fastest cars in the world.
Currently, and thanks to new technologies, the concept of the engine and speed is even more in growth, always looking for new technologies that replace the old ones and offer greater performance.
If you are a motor lover, you cannot miss this post in which we will talk about the fastest cars in the world, electric cars and the fastest drivers.
Hennessey Venom F5
At the moment, the fastest car in the world is the Hennessey Venom F5. This, through the tests and official estimates of the brand, can reach 482 km / h as maximum speed. This is the new sports car that the brand presents with one of its great productions including 1,600 horsepower mixed with great aerodynamics and aesthetics.
Bugatti Chiron Sport
The Bugatti Chiron Sport is the second fastest car in the world reaching 458 km / h. Not only is it one of the fastest but it is also one of the most expensive cars with a price tag of 2.65 million euros. With this car, Bugatti aims to outperform its own car, the Chiron Classic, and for this, it has improved the aerodynamics so that this new model is even faster thanks to the engine that can reach 200km / h in just 6 seconds.
Koenigsegg Regera 450 km / h
This third car is a great revelation within the engine because it not only reaches high speeds but is also a hybrid model and has become one of the most fascinating cars of the moment. It is estimated that its maximum speed is 450 km / h and it can go from 0 to 400 km / h in just 20 seconds, thus becoming one of the fastest sports cars.
Bugatti Veyron Super Sport
The next car is once again a Bugatti, in this case the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. This has become one of the great legends of motorsports reaching a maximum speed of 431 km / h. We wanted to include this model in this list as it was one of the first models to reach these speeds.
Hennessey Venom GT
We have to go back to talk about the Hennessey brand since it has modified large of its vehicles to obtain the best possible results. As a consequence of this, we also include in this list the Hennessey Venom GT model which is capable of reaching a speed of 428 km / h.
Although the Rimac C_Two model has proven to have great performance and to be a great electric car, it is expected that over the next few years it will continue to grow and improve all its great characteristics. Even so, it is a car that for the moment already stands out for being able to reach a maximum speed of 412 km / h and for being able to reach 300 km / h in just 11 seconds.
SSC Ultimate Aero
Thanks to the high engine power, the SSC Ultimate Aero model can reach 411 km / h without any electrical assistance. At the time, this model surprised the market since it was shown that a car produced by a brand from the United States could also be competition reaching high speeds.
Saleen S7 Twin Turbo
With some characteristics and aesthetics, the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo is capable of reaching 399 km / h despite some small engine differences compared to the different cars discussed above.
We have to comment again on a Koenigsegg, in this case, the Koenigsegg CCR. In its first tests, this car model could already reach the maximum speed of 389 km / h, thus becoming a car that promised many innovations and fulfilled the expectations of the people at that time.
Although it is one of the oldest models that we have discussed, we did not want to stop adding the McLaren F1 model to this list. This one was created in 1992 and it became a complete revolution since in 1998 it became one of the cars with the fastest production to date. In those years, it reached 391 km / h becoming a historic car.
After many years, last 2019, the model mentioned above, the Bugatti Chiron, managed to become the fastest legal car in the world. The speed record had been set bymanufacturer Swedish Koenigsegg since 2017, when it beat 447.19 km / h Bugatti’s Veyron at.
With test driver Andy Wallace, the Chiron managed to reach its top speed of 490 km / h thus beating all other models and became the first sports car to exceed 482 km / h.
Bugatti’s antecedents already established that one year they would be able to surpass other cars and this was demonstrated in 2019.
What is the world’s record of car speed?
According to the Guinness World Record book, the greatest speed range achieved in the world was achieved by Andy Green in a Thrust SSC on October 15, 1997 in the United States. It managed to reach 1,227,985 km / h.
We do not want to stop talking about electric cars since they are increasingly present on the market and have a greater demand. It is for this reason that we want to discuss the fastest electric cars below.
Tesla Model S P100D
The fastest electric car could not be other than a Tesla, specifically we are talking about the Model S P100D. This, thanks to its technology, is capable of reaching the highest speeds, it is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100km in just 2.3 seconds, thus surpassing any characteristic of many cars.

The first is Ayrton Senna, he was a car driver and managed to be a three-time Formula 1 world champion. He is considered to be among the most successful and dominant drivers of the modern era and for this reason, he is considered one of the fastest drivers in history.
Michael Schumchaer occupies the second position in this top 3, having won seven Formula 1 world championships, he has become a great driver and a reference for many others.
